OCTOBER FOOD PORN – Peanut Butter Protein Bar 

unnamedThese 4-ingredient homemade protein bars are not only delicious enough to satisfy your sweet tooth but they also give you a perfect post-workout snack without all of the added sugar of store bought protein bars. We recommend vanilla protein powder but you could add another flavor like chocolate or caramel for a delicious twist. Make a batch ahead of time and store them in an air tight container to always have a quick and healthy snack on hand. Bars should last about 2 weeks in the fridge or about 3 months in the freezer.

Number of servings: 12


  • 1 cup natural peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 1 1/2 cup quick oats (not instant)
  • 4 scoops vanilla protein powder


  • Line a 9×9 inch or 7×11 inch pan with parchment paper or wax paper
  • In a medium, microwave-safe bowl, heat peanut butter & honey on high for 30-sec.
  • Remove from microwave and stir
  • Place the bowl back in the microwave for another 30 seconds
  • Remove from microwave and stir again
  • Mix oats & protein powder well & immediately spread evenly into the prepared pan
  • Refrigerate, uncovered, for 1 hour
  • Remove from fridge and cut into 12 bars
  • Enjoy!
